My Two Centimos

Woo hoo I am loving my family. I understand them very well in terms of language, and in terms of my behavior I feel that they understand me very well. I am good about communicating my schedule and my wants and needs. Thiago is currently crying because he is not allowed in my room because I have to write this and do some homework.  I have bought a few significant things by now:
A textbook for the intensive session: 22 Euros
A bus pass with 25 Euros of credit (.6 Euros per ride = 1.2 Euros per day): 25 Euros
A prepaid cell phone with 20 free international texts and 5 Euros of credit: 39 Euros.
The phone is the cheapest of the lot. The company is called Yoigo and the cost is 8 centimos/minute and 8 centimos/text. For some reason, I do not know why, people want a phone with available calling when they travel outside of Spain for a higher price. The price: 38 centimos/minute on the phone (whether you’re in spain or not) and 18 centimos/text. I was shocked. My phone works great, I called Anne today.
I am having trouble with the Wifi here – in which my senora suggested I steal internet from a neighbor haha, but they are all password protected…
Communication Issues? Thus far, things are going really well. I would assume I am in the top ten percent in my ability to communicate with Spaniards relative to the other students. I had a fun discussion with the taxi driver on the way home from the discoteca, I spent about 45 minutes talking to a woman at Yoigo con una amiga. Its fun and exciting. Regardless of how much fun I am having or will have, I will always miss the comforts of home. I feel that this experience will be perfect for my laziness and contentness with my life, but yes, I miss home. The city is beautiful, and I need to start taking some photos. I think I am being lazy because I know that I will be here for a long time. Anyways, buenas noches!
As I always do, I prayed before my almuerzo today. Annabel asked “Rezas?” Which means, you pray? She asked what religion, etc. I am very excited for this family to learn more about me and what I believe in. Praise God for these opportunities!!
